At Stanley Shop, we stand behind the quality of our professional-grade tools and equipment. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a straightforward returns and exchanges process for our trade customers and serious DIY enthusiasts.

Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition
  • Returns must be initiated within 15 days of receiving your order
  • Proof of purchase (order number) is required
Note: For safety and hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
  • Blow Torches & Soldering equipment (used or unused)
  • Dust Masks and other personal protective equipment
  • Opened packages of Blades or Drill & Driver Bits
  • Any power tool that shows signs of use (Corded Drills, Cordless Drills, Angle Grinders, etc.)

Returns Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

Email our customer service team at [email protected] with the subject line “Return Request” and include:

  • Your order number
  • Product name(s) and quantity
  • Reason for return
  • Whether you prefer a refund or exchange

I would like to return the following item(s) from my order #12345:

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization

Within 2 business days, we’ll email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. Please do not send items back without this authorization.

Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return

Securely package the items in their original packaging, include all accessories and documentation, and affix the provided RMA label. Ship to:

Return Shipping Costs:

  • For defective or incorrect items: We’ll provide a prepaid return label
  • For change of mind returns: Customer pays return shipping

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5 business days
  • The refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Note: Depending on your financial institution, it may take 3-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Exchanges

For exchanges of equal value:

  • Follow the same return process above
  • Clearly state the replacement item you require
  • We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return

For exchanges of higher value, we’ll invoice you for the difference after receiving your return.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective tool (including Air Compressors, Circular Saws, or Cordless Drills):

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
  2. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost
  3. In some cases, we may request return of the damaged item for quality control

Trade Account Returns

Registered trade customers enjoy priority processing. Please include “Trade Account” in your email subject line and your trade account number in the message for faster service.
